Delegate Jennifer Carroll Foy (D-2nd) has endorsed Democratic candidate Vangie Williams for Virginia’s 1st Congressional District. Del. Foy adds to the growing list of elected officials and community leaders backing Williams’ candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives.
“Vangie has devoted her life to public service and has worked with Democrats, Republicans and Independents to solve our most pressing problems. As the representative in the House of Delegates serving Stafford County, I know that Vangie has what it takes to work with everyone to make our community stronger,” said Foy.
“I am honored to receive Delegate Foy’s endorsement,” said Williams. “She is a true leader that has already made an incredible impact in the House of Delegates. Her commitment to ensuring families have access to affordable healthcare through Medicaid expansion and voting to increase salaries for teachers and law enforcement lets me know she is a true champion of the people.
“We’re both striving to create an economy that works for everyone, where Virginians can live prosperously,” added Williams.
Del. Foy joins Senator Rosalyn Dance, Senator Louise Lucas, Delegate Luke Torian and a growing number of citizens, community leaders and elected officials that support the Williams campaign. Williams will face Rep. Rob Wittman in November for the U.S. House of Representatives seat in Virginia’s 1st Congressional District.
